In September we were joined by Rotary President Alan Cantwell
who outlined his programme for the year ahead

July saw the final meeting of the Inner Wheel year.
Sherry Phillips became our President for the next 12 months
and we all enjoyed an evening of fellowship before the Summer break.

Our AGM took place on June 11th, we elected Sherry Phillips as our incoming President,
Jane Davies as our new Secretary and Marge Matthews who continues as our Treasurer.
The new team take up their work at our July meeting.
We also celebrated the 25th anniversary of the founding of the Inner Wheel Club of the
Royal Forest of Dean with a dinner at the Chase Hotel, Ross on Wye.
Guests from Rotary and our Inner Wheel District joined club members past and present
for a wonderful evening of food and fellowship.

This month we heard about the work of the Star Centre at Ullenwood,
an independent specialist college working with learners who have
physical disabilities and associated learning difficulties.

A wonderful evening learning about fascinators, hats and hatmaking
with plenty of time to try some on for size !

Our Annual Skittles evening raising money for the Addis Ababa Fistula appeal,
great fun was had by all.

Our February meeting was an informative business meeting where plans for
forthcoming events were finalised.

We enjoyed an evening of fellowship where members were invited to "guess the person"
from some cryptic clues.
Our
regular monthly meetings take the form of a Meal and Business Agenda
sometimes
with a Guest Speaker. Over the year we enjoy a very varied programme.

In
December we enjoyed our Christmas meeting, sharing fellowship
and exchanging
gifts before watching a demonstration of flower arranging
for the Christmas
Table.

At
the beginning of November we helped Rotary at the Annual Bonfire
and fireworks
at Speech House.
Later in the month we heard a very entertaining and informative
talk from
local historian Averil Kear aabout 'Special Houses in the Forest
of Dean'
